Post 10 Honor Guard
The Honor Guard
The American Legion Honor Guard is a group of men and women veterans who pride themselves in the dedication of honoring our deceased veterans with complete military honors. We conduct an average of 60+ military funerals a year.
The Honor Guard also marches in the Memorial Day Parade and participates in Memorial Day services at Restlawn Cemetery. The Color Guard performs at the Wisconsin Valley Fair. We perform at the Never Forgotten Honor Flight pre-flight dinners the Sunday before the flights to Washington, DC. The Honor Guard is also at the Central Wisconsin Airport on the veterans return home trip from DC. We also have a color guard at all home baseball games for the American Legion baseball team.
We teach youth such as Boy Scouts and students about flag etiquette. We enjoy teaching everyone the proper handling of the US flag.
We participate in Flag Day ceremonies on June 14th at the Elks Flag Day Ceremony with a full rifle squad.
As you can see the American Legion Honor Guard serves the community when and where we are asked to help.
If you would like to request our Honor Guard for military honors at a Veterans graveside service, please contact your funeral home. The funeral home will coordinate the details with our Post 10 Honor Guard.
