Montgomery-Plant-Dudley Post 10

From the Commander

Tony Nardi

Greetings and Welcome,

American Legion Post 10 has a long and honored history, going back to 1919 when we became the 10th Post in the State of Wisconsin to receive it’s charter.  We are proud to uphold the traditions and values that have been carried forth by our predecessors.

Our American Legion family in Wausau works hard to be a community orientated service organization.  Post 10, Unit 10 of the American Legion Auxiliary and Squadron 10 of the Sons of the American Legion work together to serve our veterans, active military members, their families, our area youth, and citizens.  Over the years we have supported many programs and groups in our area and across the region.  Every year we look forward to being involved with our community and those we serve.

We have continued some of our long-standing programs and have been excited to have sponsor some new ones. Our Honor Guard, the public face of our organization, is second to none and continues to be excellent representative of our post.  Our youth involvement and sponsorship with Badger Boys State, The Boy Scouts, providing high school scholarships have been a priority.  As along time sponsor of Post 10 Baseball, we recently added a Jr. Post 10 team, the Polar Bears.  We are also proud to sponsor the Post 10 Patriots, our American Legion Girls Softball team in their inaugural year.

We have continued to serve our area veterans by continuing our Veterans Meal program. By partnering with Bunkers Restaurant, we have served over 4000 meals to our local veterans.

These are a few examples of the great things we are doing here in Wausau and will continue to do.  If you are a veteran, or the family member of a veteran, we would love to have your join us.  Information on how you can join is listed on this site.   You will not be disappointed if you become involved in your community and will enjoy serving!
