Service, Not Self
Greetings and Welcome!
Service, not self. That is the motto of the American Legion Auxiliary and a mission that we serve to uphold in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10. Our Unit also works hand in hand with the American Legion Post 10, which is the Post that we have our Unit number from.
As an American Legion Auxiliary Unit, we work to support our active duty military members, our veterans and our community. When you see American Legion members out at events through out the community, you will often see Auxiliary members along side them. Our organization is truly a family of members all working with the same purpose and goals.
Our Unit has many programs that have been staples of our organization for years and well as newer programs that we building. Probably the most well known of our activities is our annual Poppy Day distribution, where Auxiliary members are out at various businesses throughout the community with our baskets of poppies the Friday before Memorial Day. We support our youth through our sponsorship of area girls with Badger Girls State, college scholarships and our Junior members. We also support of active military through troop box shipments and our veterans through our Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation program with multiple members making tray favors and items that get distributed at our Veterans Homes.
American Legion Auxiliary members are amazing individuals and the activities outlined are just a few of the wonderful accomplishments and programs we participate in. If you are the mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, granddaughter and spouse of a military veteran, we would be honored to have you join our Unit!
